Must we use use the bible only when forming our own theology?

The answer is an emphatic yes. We must use it. We must depend on it because we are commanded to depend on it. It is truth. We have no justification to ever seek any source outside of the Word of God to learn about the Word of God or the will of God. The Word of God is it's own defense and cross reference.

To give you an example of how important the Word of God is to mankind imagine being on an island. All areas of the sea surrounding the island are filled with sharks waiting for you to jump off the island. The island is the Word of God and the water is the world. The sharks are the evil culmination of the words and thoughts of man and Satan. This island is a massive rock structure protecting mankind from all the sharks. The sharks will consume mankind if not for the island.

"In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion. Deliver me in thy righteousness, and cause me to escape: incline thine ear unto me, and save me. Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress."

Psalm 71:1-3

Jesus said of the Word of God, "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." (John 17:170. The Lord also rebuked Satan. Matthew 4:4 reads "But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God."

Catholic Answers ascertains Protestantism to be the 'Great Heresy'. Why would a supposed Christian organization brand those who solely desire to uphold the teachings in the Word of God, a Great Heresy?

Many individuals who attend Catholic churches adhere to the Word of God and are not blinded by the props and theatrics of Catholic methodology and mythology. Prayerfully, there are even many Priests the Lord Jesus Christ has called out of this great satanic lie to minister the gospel to those attending these institutions. On the other hand, Roman Catholic dogma makes it clearly known in the light of the Word of God that it is in fact a religion founded stealthily alongside the Word of God.

The Roman Catholic church is a parasite on the invisible body of the visible Christian establishment on earth. This parasite is guilty of perpetuating a religion that seeks to exalt mankind, make salvation attainable through works, idolize biblical figures, venerate the earthly mother of Jesus as a queen of heaven, and destroy anyone who seeks the Lord Jesus Christ away from the Catholic institution.
